THE WORD OF TARAS  •1961

The Word of Taras was recorded in 1961 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Taras Shevchenko’s death. Unique to this recording is the dramatized recitation of Taras Shevchenko's words by narrators Alexander Sadowyj and Stepan Chornij. This recording was released again as album 15. In 2021, the UBC commemorates the 60th anniversary of this historic recording by making it the second re-release as part of the UBC Legacy Recording Series.
